KP governor calls terrorism a common threat

PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): The governor of Pakistaninfo-icon’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province says terrorism is a common threat to both Kabulinfo-icon and Islamabad.

Speaking at a Nawroz celebration event in northern Balkh province on Tuesday, Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said a peaceful Afghanistaninfo-icon was in the interest of Pakistan and vice versa.

Accompanied by lawmaker Haji Shah Ji Gul Afridi and other delegates, he said a comprehensive partnership between Pakistan and Afghanistan was imperative for peace and prosperity in the region.

In a statement from his office, Jhagra said his visit to Afghanistan was aimed to strengthen relations between the neighbours. He greeted the Afghans on the new solar yearinfo-icon.

“Pakistan is committed to pursuing comprehensive bilateral engagement with Afghanistan in fields like trade, investment, culture, educationinfo-icon and sportsinfo-icon,” the governor added.
