Uprising group commander gunned down by Taliban

GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): The Talibaninfo-icon shot dead local uprising group commander for the Gilan district of southern Ghazni province on Friday, an official said.

District Chief Abdul Karim Taraki told Pajhwok Afghan News a motorcyclist sprayed bullets at Abdul Rahim’s head and chest near the Ghandi Bazaar area.

The assailant managed to flee the area after shooting bullets on the local uprising commander.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed responsibility for the attack. He said uprising commander for Gilan was killed by the group fighter.
