Afghanistan thrash Kyrgyzstan 3-1 in CAFA clash

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): The Afghanistaninfo-icon under-15 national football team won their second match in the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) in Tajikistan by beating Kyrgyzstan 3-1, an official said Wednesday.

Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) spokesman Sayed Ali Kazimi told Pajhwok Afghan News the Afghanistan soccer team won the match against the central Asian nation on Tuesday afternoon.

The three goals were netted by Samir Samandari, Fardin Naseri and Ahmad Tamim Mirzada, he said.

Kazimi said the Afghan under-15 team, who earlier defeated Tajikistan last Friday, currently held first position among other teams.

Afghanistan would face Turkmenistan on Friday. Five countries including Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, are taking part in the event.
