3 civilians wounded in Kabul suicide attack: MoI

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Three civilians were wounded in a suicide attack on a foreign forces' convoy in the Afshar area of Kabul on Sunday, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said.

A statement from the ministry said the suicide bomber in a car targeted the convoy of NATOinfo-icon-led troops in the limits of the 5th police district at around 11am.

It said three civilians were injured in the incident and police shifted them to hospital for medical treatment.

The foreign forces have not yet commented on the incident. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.

The Talibaninfo-icon claimed responsibility for the suicide attack. Zabihullah Mujahid, the group’s spokesman told Pajhwok Afghan News in an e-mail at least 16 foreign forces have been killed and injured in the suicide bombing.

Three military vehicles destroyed in the bombing, Mujahid added.
